Animal Anatomy in general is also known as Animal Form, Animal Mimicry, Animal Morphing, Animal Physiology, Animal Shapeshifting, Animality (Mortal Kombat), Animorphing, Beast Within (Bayonetta), Faunal Form, Fauna Morphing, Skinwalker Effect and Therianthropy.

There are two big types of characters with this power. The characters that turn into an animal and cannot be turned back and are therefore cursed and those who can turn into the animal and then turn back.
Gorilla-Man (Marvel) turned into a Gorilla and retained his intelligence but cannot turn back into a human (Agents of Atlas V1 #2). Gorilla-Man is cursed!
In Tales to Astonish V1 #48, a scientist turns into a gorilla but also loses his intelligence.
Matthew the Raven (Vertigo) is a man who has been turned into a raven (Who’s Who in the DC Universe #15). This should be a curse but Matthew is turned into raven after death and is philosophical about his condition.
Ursa Major (Marvel) can turn into a bear and back into a human (Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe V1 #11).
Wolfsbane (Marvel) can turn into a wolf and back into a human (Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe V1 #12).
